近日，谷歌地圖將菲律賓群島西部部分海域標(biāo)注為“西菲律賓海”，而非國際社會(huì)長(zhǎng)期公認(rèn)的“南?！?，引發(fā)輿論關(guān)注。上海國際問題研究院全球治理研究所所長(zhǎng)助理、助理研究員張琪悅接受中新網(wǎng)采訪時(shí)表示，谷歌地圖此舉嚴(yán)重違背國際慣例和客觀事實(shí)，反映出科技公司開始淪為地緣政治工具。當(dāng)前更名的時(shí)機(jī)是美國對(duì)華經(jīng)濟(jì)戰(zhàn)略與地緣政治聯(lián)動(dòng)的表現(xiàn)，反映出美菲為實(shí)現(xiàn)所謂的“共同利益”，互相勾連，妄圖在南海問題上攪局。(管娜)

　　Google Maps recently labeled part of the western Philippine archipelago as the “West Philippine Sea” instead of the internationally recognized “South China Sea,”sparking public concern.

　　Zhang Qiyue, assistant to the director and assistant research fellow at the Institute of Global Governance, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, stated that the unilateral renaming is a serious breach of international conventions and geographical reality, reflecting that a tech company being reduced to a geopolitical tool. The timing of Google Maps label change reflects a certain coordination between the U.S. economic strategy and geopolitical maneuvers targeting China, underscoring between the U.S. and the Philippines, as they seek to advance their so-called “common interests”, in an attempt to stir up troubles in the South China Sea.(Guan Na)
